Can anyone point me to their favorite version of this song? I really like 7/8/78, although it isn't the most subtle version (you can hear the cocaine in Garcia's growl).

I don't know if I have a favorite, but '78 was a good year for that song. If you like 7/8, check out this one as well:

the band is in to it and it's the best Garcia guitar work I've neard on this tune...
